Practical Skills in dealing with Extreme Persistent and Difficult Staff Behaviours (Part 2)

Psychotherapist Martin J Smith, lecturer at Nottingham Trent University, will share his expertise, equipping delegates to feel more confident about what to do with colleagues who they find tricky to work with. The Acas adviser will offer best practice workplace advice for these issues.


This workshop is a follow-up to the initial workshop on extreme persistent difficult behaviour. It seeks to give participants the opportunity to apply skills and ideas developed from the first session. Therefore it is a prerequisite that delegates have already attended the initial workshop.

Gender Pay Reporting

New legislation on Gender Pay reporting is due to be introduced in late 2016 with the first measures taking effect from April 2017.

It will be soon be compulsory for organisations with over 250 employees to measure and report on their Gender Pay gap.

The new legislation will apply to public and private businesses and voluntary sector organisations. NB: Whether wholly Welsh authorities are required to do so will be a matter for the Welsh Government and is yet to be determined.

Organisations employing more than 250 employees may need to review their current pay systems, other people policies and reporting processes to make sure they can best comply with the new legislation.

We outline what the law says (in regards to the Equality Act) and the views of the Tribunals. We then look at the responsibilities you have as an employer and the implications for choosing not to address these issues.
