Gender Pay Reporting

The legislation on gender pay reporting takes effect in April 2017. It requires organisations with over 250 employees to measure and report on their gender pay gap and applies to public and private businesses, and voluntary sector organisations.


NB: Whether wholly Welsh authorities are required to do so will be a matter for the Welsh Government and is yet to be determined. Relevant Scottish public authorities with 20 employees or more are already required to report on their gender pay gap.


Organisations employing more than 250 employees may need to review their current pay systems, other people policies and reporting processes to make sure they can best comply with the legislation.
