Gender Pay Reporting

The legislation on gender pay reporting takes effect in April 2017. It requires organisations with over 250 employees to measure and report on their gender pay gap and applies to public and private businesses, and voluntary sector organisations.

NB: Whether wholly Welsh authorities are required to do so will be a matter for the Welsh Government and is yet to be determined. Relevant Scottish public authorities with 20 employees or more are already required to report on their gender pay gap.

Organisations employing more than 250 employees may need to review their current pay systems, other people policies and reporting processes to make sure they can best comply with the legislation.

Simplifying TUPE in a day: understand the rules and avoid the pitfalls

Business transfers, outsourcing, being sold off, privatised – whatever the context - TUPE transfers can be one of the most testing, confusing and stressful areas of business activity for employers and employees from all sectors.



In January 2014 the Government introduced new TUPE legislation that brought significant changes – join us to make sure that you’re aware of what these mean for your organisation.

Emotional Intelligence and Mindfulness for the Modern Workplace

Emotional intelligence and mindfulness are well respected ideas and concepts used extensively over the past few decades to help individuals, teams and organisations work more effectively at numerous levels.

This one day workshop will help develop a greater understanding of what emotional intelligence and mindfulness are all about, as well as how they fit at a personal, business and organisational level.


The session is led by Martin J. Smith PhD. Martin is a senior lecturer in psychotherapy at Nottingham Trent University and independent training consultant, specialising in the understanding and development of better individual and team workplace behaviour - and also a greater understanding of presenting personality types and attitudes.


He draws from both a deep understanding of the psychology of people but also past real management skills applied in large organisations at various levels.



An Acas senior adviser will also provide input on the implications for workplace procedures and good practice.
