The route to successful employee engagement
Effective Employee Engagement (EE) results in employers and employees working together towards common goals. It is a practical way of strengthening your business’ productivity, innovation, turnover and improving attendance. In a challenging economic environment having employees who are engaged and prepared to “to go the extra mile” will invariably lead to strong and continued business performance.
This introductory course looks at the key components of employee engagement, how to put them in place, and measure successful outcomes.
You know that some of your employees don’t just come to work for a salary; they also work because they care about the business and often become involved in the importance of success in the same way you do.
Engaged employees understand why it is important to do the job well and how they contribute to the success of your business. In turn, employers and managers are vital in creating a successfully engaged workforce.
In this course we look at how to create a environment where your employees can be engaged and flourish We also look at the importance of creating a vision for the future and why that vision must become an ongoing priority which tells your people ‘what’s happening’ – in other words it gives a sense of purpose, an extra reason for turning up to work.
What difference an engaged employee?
- It is estimated that engaged employees take an average of 2.69 sick days per year; the disengaged take 6.19;
- Engaged employees generate 43% more revenue (Hay Group);
- 67% of engaged advocate their organisation; only 3% of the disengaged do (Gallup);
- 9 out of 10 of the key barriers to successful change are people related (PWC);
- 59% of engaged employees say work brings out their most creative ideas – only 3% of the disengaged agree (Gallup).
This introductory course is aimed at delegates who are new to Employee Engagement or have recently started on an EE Programme including: MDs, CEOs, managers, supervisors and employee representatives.
