Conflict at Work - a practical approach

Overview

A practical course to enhance the ability of those with responsibility for people to deal effectively with conflict situations within the workplace.

Business need

Managers and team leaders often spend a disproportionate amount of their time on formal procedures to deal with situations which could have been resolved more effectively at an earlier, less formal stage. Often the signals of conflict have not been recognised, have been missed or have been ignored.

This workshop is designed to help delegates identify the optimum time to intervene where relationships between colleagues are beginning to deteriorate, impacting on productivity, customer service, quality of product and, ultimately, the bottom line. This practical course will give participants the confidence to approach these difficult issues in a non-confrontational way and minimise the need for formal processes with their inherent, resultant relationship difficulties. These skills would also be relevant and beneficial in dealing with more formal conversations.

Suitable For

Managers at all levels, HR professionals, and anyone interested in managing workplace conflict more effectively.

Programme

  • To consider how you currently deal with conflict
  • To identify ways to reduce the effects of disputes in your team
