Overview

Join Acas and leading experts from industry at a special day of HR masterclasses to help you with organisational challenges, to improve your skills, and to network with other professionals and share information.

In our usual style, our annual conference will offer a mixture of speakers and topics ensuring something for everyone to take away and action upon their return to the workplace.



Acas chair, Sir Brendan Barber will open the event and offer his view on the current employment relations landscape. Brendan was the General Secretary of the TUC from 2003 to 2012 and appointed Acas Chair in 2014.



Masterclass 1: Gender Pay Reporting – What you need to know; Malcolm Boswell, Acas Area Director



Masterclass 2: Modern slavery in modern supply chains reality or rhetoric; Gangmasters & Labour Abuse Authority.



Masterclass 3: General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR); Claire Tonks, Partner, Flint Bishop LLP



Delegates will be asked to choose 2 from 3 of the masterclasses.



Recent Developments on the Law and Practice on TUPE; Dr John McMullen, Director of Employment Law at Wrigleys Solicitors LLP, regarded as the UK leading expert on TUPE will deliver a punchy session covering all you need to know in a concise and engaging fashion.



Andrew Macmillan, Partner, Gately PLC will provide a topical Employment Law Update taking you through the latest changes and relevant case law to ensure you are fully up-to-date.
