Return to work interviews - How to get them right

Understand the skills required to conduct successful Return to Work interviews and be able to plan and carry them out.

Business need

Research indicates that carrying out Return to Work Interviews is the most effective measure employers can take to reduce absence levels. Failing to carry out Return to Work Interviews (or conducting them but getting them wrong) can cost business time and money and can also send out the wrong message to otherwise committed and engaged employees.

The introduction of the Statement of Fitness for Work (the Fit Note) has created a new opportunity for early discussions around returning to work and reaffirms their importance as part of an effective and fair approach to absence management.

In this training session we explain why these interviews are so important and then provide step by step guidance to increase your managers understanding and confidence in the process.

Suitable For

Delegates who wish to find out about more about the Return to Work process including how effective, fair and consistent Absence Management will benefit an organisation or company and their employees.
Note: Delegates who would welcome the chance to discuss and understand the practical aspects of the RTW process will find this course of particular benefit.
