TUPE - From the employment relations perspective

This course is intended to give a basic understanding of the principles underlying TUPE, the rights employees have, the obligations on employers PLUS the crucial part that people and communication play in a successful and well managed transfer.

Business need

Business transfers, outsourcing, being sold off, privatised – call it what you will, TUPE transfers are one of the most testing and stressful areas of business activity for employers and employees.

The Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations gives employees a complex set of rights whenever a business or part of a business is sold or changes hands.
