Young Workers: Supporting and managing the workforce of tomorrow

Getting the next generation of workers trained and prepared for the full demands of the workplace is important for many organisations.

Drawing upon success stories of businesses that have already taken an active approach to embracing young workers, this conference will explore the opportunities and issues faced by businesses in training and retaining young workers.

Business need

Younger workers often enter the workplace straight from education, without any work experience which can be a big change for them, particularly if it is from a school environment. However, if managed and supported in the right way, a younger worker can become a highly skilled and valued member of the team.

This conference will look at the success stories of businesses that have already taken an active approach to embracing young workers and business experiences of the newly introduced Apprenticeship Levy. For businesses facing the reality of the skills shortage, we will also highlight ways that young workers can feature in your succession planning.
