Mock Disciplinary Hearing

Overview

Going through a disciplinary process can be daunting. This interactive event will give you a real insight into what to expect when conducting a disciplinary hearing, with tips and techniques on how to best manage the process.  You will also hear from 3PB Barristers who will discuss the consequences where disciplinary processes go wrong and how to avoid such situations.

Business need

This event will explore best practice for handling misconduct allegations, in accordance with the Acas Code of Practice on Discipline and Grievance procedures, and as governed by the Employment Act 2008.

We will look at initial investigations, followed by a live disciplinary hearing where you will witness snapshots of the proceedings and help decide the outcome!

Our expert Advisers, and leading law firm 3PB Barristers will lead you through the scenario and will explain the pitfalls so that you can avoid finding yourself in the same position.

This event will give delegates the knowledge and confidence to effectively conduct disciplinary hearings.  It promises to be informative, enjoyable, myth-busting and interactive.

We’re delighted to be joined by barristers from 3PB, who bring wide experience of dealing with Employment Tribunal cases and will be sharing their knowledge and expertise throughout the day.

3PB is ranked by the Legal 500 Directory as a top-tier firm in the South West, and we will be joined by leading advocates from their employment law team, including Gareth Graham, described by Chambers and Partners directory as “an impressive advocate; sensible and pragmatic” and in the reported case of Vodafone Ltd v Miss A Nicholson an appeal before the President of the EAT, the Honourable Mr Justice Langstaff, he was described as “engaging and candid”.
