Acas Management and HR Masterclass 2019


Overview

Acas is joined by leading experts in the legal profession for a special day of interactive masterclasses to help you with your organisational challenges, improve your management skills, network with other professionals and share information.

This thought provoking conference, comprising of four individual masterclasses will focus on the latest key topics in the workplace.

Programme

Opened by Fiona Williams, Acas Area Director for Yorkshire and the Humber, this conference will include the following masterclass sessions:



Masterclass 1: Employment law update - the legal perspective with Kirsty Ayre of Irwin Mitchell.

An update on the most recent and expected future changes to employment legislation, with need to know case law.



Masterclass 2: Mediation in the workplace.

Learn how mediation can play an important role in dealing effectively with workplace conflict, with role-play mediation carried out by Acas staff.



Masterclass 3: Mental health and workplace wellbeing with Acas Senior Adviser, Carole Sayer.

Top tips for identifying and managing mental health in the workplace, including tools and techniques for holding conversations with staff about mental health.



Masterclass 4: 10 top tips for handling workplace investigations with Acas Senior Adviser, Rich Jones.

Learn about the key elements of a good workplace investigation and why they matter. With an interactive exercise to reveal 10 top tips on workplace investigations and a helpful reminder for delegates to take away.



Additionally there will be a talk on Diversity and Inclusion from Yunus Lunat, Head of the Employment Law Department at Ison Harrison Solicitors.



All delegates will be required to choose 3 of the 4 masterclasses to attend and will be contacted nearer the date to make their selection.
