Join Acas South West for our 2019 seminar. With sessions from leading experts, we take a look at the evolving employment relations landscape with a focus on key topics; productivity; flexible working and employee engagement.

Susan will be discussing business success and the importance of the people factor. Looking at how a combination of effective policies, talent development, engagement and strong leadership are the essential ingredients for a healthy and productive workplace.

#FlexAppeal - Anna Whitehouse; Founder of Mother Pukka and the Flex Appeal campaign

Journalist and author, Anna Whitehouse, otherwise known as Mother Pukka is the founder of Flex Appeal, a campaign to fight for flexible working for everyone. Through the campaign, Anna has provided evidence to UK Government, worked with the NHS and the Welsh Assembly and recently hosted a TEDx talk on the subject.

Anna will be sharing her experience and discussing the importance of making flexible working work.

Productivity in the workplace - Grace Marshall; Productivity Coach
Grace is a Productivity Ninja with Think Productive, one of the world’s leading productivity training companies. As a qualified coach, NLP practitioner and DiSC trainer Grace brings both a psychological and practical perspective to productivity. The session will engage, inspire and equip people to make practical changes to the way that they work.

How mobile phones delivered a change in workplace culture and engagement - Andrew Hollowood; Consultant Surgeon, Bristol NHS Trust

Andrew is a Consultant Surgeon with more than 20 years of experience working in the NHS.

Andrew’s session will look at how the award-winning SPEaC Happy app has transformed engagement, innovation, productivity, quality of service delivery and communication within Bristol NHS Trust.

Employment law update - Gareth Graham; Employment Law Barrister, 3PB
This session will cover the most recent and upcoming changes in employment legislation, a key consideration for business planning.

Menopause and the workplace - Kate Nowicki; Transformation Director, Acas

Kate will be introducing our new guidance on menopause and the workplace which aims to give managers the skills and knowledge to support and assist employees going through the menopause.
