Digital conference: The future of work in the UK
Overview
This digital event considers what the future of work in the UK will look like and asks how we can we adapt to the changes and remain competitive.
The current global pandemic has seen huge pressures forced rapidly upon organisations, influencing the way in which we respond to and manage changes in the workplace. This on top of the EU exit and international political upheavals mean organisations need to react and adapt more quickly than ever before.
Join Acas experts and guest speakers as we explore the practical options and good practice techniques for planning and adapting the UK workplace to ensure sustainable growth.
Business need
According to an ONS survey, the UK economy fell by 8.5% in November compared to the same period the year before. (Source: ONS article GDP monthly estimate, UK: November 2020)
Having an agile approach keeps businesses competitive and allows them to respond rapidly to unplanned scenarios.
Temporary closures, a shift to online shopping and reduced travel meant the first wave of the coronavirus (COVID-19) had an enormous impact on business – but some industries fared far worse than others.
We will look at how change management techniques and the principal of Good Work assist businesses to be agile and respond to unexpected demands, in turn allowing them to plan for an uncertain future.
With a practical case study from the world’s largest logistics company, DHL, this is one not to be missed!
This event will be delivered digitally via zoom.
