Essential skills for line managers


Overview

This event will provide you with a comprehensive overview of essential ‘people’ skills required in supervisory/line management roles. It will also explore the importance of addressing absence, bullying and harassment and discipline and grievance matters. 

This training includes interactive group discussions, helpful scenarios and case studies.

Business need

The transition from team member to team leader can be tough. Line managers are key members of the management team and have the closest contact with the workforce. It is therefore important that they receive appropriate support and training to carry out their role.

Ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge can have a positive effect on the motivation and productivity of those whom they manage. 

This event will help you to understand how your role fits within the business and the importance of communicating with, leading and motivating your team.

We will provide up to date Covid health and safety information nearer the training date and will be working with venues to ensure a safe environment for our delegates. We will expect delegates to comply with all appropriate safety measures

All delegates will receive an electronic certificate of attendance for their participation in the training.
