Conflict at work can be disruptive, time consuming and costly.
Mediation is a proven and effective way of resolving differences between employees and rebuilding working relationships.

This training will help you gain the skills, techniques and confidence to become an effective mediator in your workplace.
You will gain a recognised mediation accreditation upon successful completion of the course.
Acas is the recognised authority in dispute resolution. You will learn directly from our mediation experts, who have extensive personal experience in resolving conflict at work.
This training course is accredited by NCFE, a trusted and recognised awarding organisation. NCFE verifies and quality assures the assessments. An assessment in your learning will be included as part of the process.

- reframing emotional statements to move participants towards resolution

- displaying empathy whilst maintaining impartiality
- identifying underlying interests of participants and how this affects their positions
- managing objections to mediation and other concerns
- identifying discrimination or bias and taking action to address it
- exploring your own bias and how this can impact
By the end of this training, attendees will be able to:
- explain the mediation model
- conduct an effective individual mediation session
- demonstrate techniques to find out the cause of conflict
- discuss options impartially with people involved in mediation
- evaluate their own and others’ performance

Trainer led – face to face
Duration -5 days
The training runs from 09:30 - 16:30 each day and the dates are:
- Week One: 10th, 11th & 12th December 2025
- Week Two: 17th & 18th December 2025
The training session will include:
- a written assessment of 5 questions which must be sent to the tutor within 8 weeks
- group discussion
- role-plays
- practical assessment
Attendees will also receive:
- accreditation
- a digital certificate
- a handout containing useful links
- a copy of the PowerPoint slides
